Japan's total supply of plywood in 2014 including imports was 6,297,400 cubic metres, 2.6% less than 2013 but the supply has been over 6 million cubic metres for four straight years. Domestic plywood production was 2,806,200 cubic metres, 0.4% less than 2013. In this, softwood plywood was 2,617,100 cubic metres, 0.4% less.

Mar 18, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Japan's total supply of plywood in 2014 including imports was 6,297,400 cubic metres, 2.6% less than 2013 but the supply has been over 6 million cubic metres for four straight years, ITTO reports.

Domestic plywood production was 2,806,200 cubic metres, 0.4% less than 2013. In this, softwood plywood was 2,617,100 cubic metres, 0.4% less.

The shipment of softwood plywood was 2,523,400 cubic metres, 5.6% less with monthly average of 212 cubic metres, 12,400 cubic metres less than 2013. Total imported plywood in 2014 was 3,491,100 cubic metres, 4.2% less with monthly average of 292 cubic metres, 12,800 cubic metres less than 2013.

Malaysian supply was 1,462,500 cubic metres, 8.8% less with monthly average of 121,800 cubic metres, 11,800 cubic metres less than 2013. Indonesian supply was 1,026,300 cubic metres, 2.8% less and Chinese supply was 778,200 cubic metres, 1.0% less.

In imports, main item from Malaysia, 12 mm concrete forming panel decreased largely while Indonesian supply, whose items are mainly floor base and standard plywood did not decline much.
