Karl Knauer KG has acquired HEPACK druck+verpackung GmbH in Neuenstein, Germany. With 75% of the company shares, Karl Knauer KG thus becomes the majority owner, while the managing director of HEPACK GmbH, Peter Heim, continues to hold 25% of the shares. A change of the corporate name is initially not intended, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.


Richard Kammerer, Stefanie Wieckenberg and Joachim Würz were also appointed managing directors of HEPACK. It is planned to retain all former employees of HEPACK.

As part of its own growth strategy, the acquisition enables the Karl Knauer Group to considerably increase its production capacities with immediate effect and to expand the food packaging division: With roughly 100 employees and state-of-the art machinery, HEPACK has at its disposal many years of expertise in food, confectionery and sanitary product packaging. In doing so, Karl Knauer KG owns up to its growth and successfully expands to now three locations in Biberach (Baden), Pniewy (Poland) and Neuenstein near Heilbronn. In total, the Karl Knauer Group now employs a workforce in excess of 700.
