Kährs Group’s 2Q net sales increased by 7%

Kährs Group’s 2Q 2018 net sales totalled SEK 844 million ($95.3 million), an increase of 7% compared with the same period in 2017, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Operating EBITA rose 1% and totalled SEK 76 million ($8.6 million), corresponding to an operating margin of 9%. Operating profit (EBIT) for the 2Q 2018 improved by SEK 24 million ($2.7 million) and totalled SEK 70 million ($7.9 million), corresponding to 8.3%.
Consolidated profit for the quarter was SEK 27 million ($3 million).

President and CEO Christer Persson comments: ”Kährs Group reported continued robust sales growth of 7% in the 2Q. The Nordics and Resilient Global segments demonstrated the strongest growth, while sales for the Europe and Other Markets segments declined somewhat.

Net sales for the period January to June 2018 totalled SEK 1,677 million ($190 million), an increase of 7% compared with the same period in 2017.

1H 2018 operating EBITA declined by 6% compared with the corresponding period in 2017 and totalled SEK 136 million ($15.3 million), for an operating margin of 8.1%.

Operating profit (EBIT) for the 1H 2018 was SEK 130 million ($14.7 million), corresponding to 7.8%, including a negative impact for items affecting comparability of SEK 6 million ($677,200). Consolidated profit for the period was SEK 41 million ($4.6 million).
