Lumber exports from Russia increased by 8.3% in January-April 2015

Jun 04, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. For the four months of 2015 total volume of lumber exports from Russia increased by 8.3%, to 4.57 million tons year-over-year, as Federal Customs Service of Russia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network. 

The volume of Russian exports of roundwood for the reporting period amounted to 6.17 million cubic metres, (9.3% less than in the same period last year), worth $467.6 million (-24.8%).

6 million cubic metres of roundwood (-9.4%) worth $459.9 million (-24.5%) were shipped to other countries in January-April 2015; to CIS countries -164.4 thousand cubic metres (-10%) worth $7.6 million (-40.6%).

3.61 million tons (+16.2%) of lumber worth $907.5 million (-7.9%) were shipped to other countries; to CIS countries – 959.4 thousand tons (-15.8%), worth $144.7 million (-49.4%).
