Mac Papers acquires Nashville-Based Boxes Etc. II

Feb 05, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Mac Papers completed its acquisition of substantially all the assets of Boxes Etc. II, a specialized distributor of packaging products and services out of Nashville, Tennessee. All Boxes Etc. II employees have joined Mac Papers as part of the acquisition. Terms of this deal are not disclosed, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

This is Mac Papers’ first acquisition to date in Nashville, following the company’s entrance into this market in July 2012. The deal signifies a long-term commitment to the city of Nashville, and that Mac Papers is becoming a key player in packaging distribution in the Southeast.

“Mac Papers has made a series of investments in Nashville, as part of our strategic initiative to strengthen our offering and infrastructure in this growing market,” said Sutton McGehee, Chairman and CEO of Mac Papers. “This acquisition follows recently announced plans to purchase land and build a larger facility in Nashville, demonstrating our commitment to serving local businesses with deep inventory, expertise and top-notch customer service.”

Boxes Etc. II will continue operations out of its facilities for the next year, until it moves into a Mac Papers warehouse location in Nashville.

Mac Papers anticipates sustained growth from its packaging line of business, accounting for a greater percentage of its net sales across the company.

Mac Papers is one of the largest wholesale distributors in the Southeast U.S. The company is a distribution partner for paper and print, packaging, facility supplies and office products.
