Since the acquisition of GS Paper & Packaging Sdn Bhd (“GSPP”) in year 2010, which is Malaysia’s largest manufacturer of paperboard and corrugated container, Oji Group has mainly been carrying out acquisition of packaging companies. As of now, the company has 2 paperboard mills, 6 corrugated container mills, etc. in Malaysia.

As announced on April 24, the company decided to conduct business in the manufacturing and sales of disposable diapers in Indonesia through a joint venture with PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk.
Through the acquisition of 80% of the shareholdings of the local disposable diaper company and the building of the new disposable diaper factory in Malaysia this time, the company plans to expand its sales of disposable diapers not only in the Malaysian market, but also mainly in the Southeast Asian market which is expected to see future expansion in demand.
