Ponsse opens a new service centre in Värnamo, Sweden

Ponsse opened a new service centre in Värnamo, Sweden. Värnamo is Ponsse’s fifth PONSSE service centre in Sweden, and the southern most of them. With the growing numbers of machines, the need for services has increased in the area and there has been demand for new premises, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

“We have a need to increase our maintenance service capacity throughout the country, and we are especially investing in services in southern Sweden. The growing numbers of machines require good services, and southern Sweden is a strong forestry region”, says Jarmo Vidgrén, sales and marketing director, Ponsse Plc.

Over the past couple of years, Ponsse has opened three new PONSSE service centres in Sweden. The number of contractual service providers has slightly decreased, but at the same time, cooperation with the contract maintenance network has been developed strongly.

Ponsse AB starts offering services in Värnamo with three employees and a service vehicle. The unit’s operations are under the responsibility of Johan Andersson, who transferred to Ponsse from Norwegian, where he worked as a service supervisor. In addition to five PONSSE service centres, Ponsse has 20 contractual service providers in Sweden, serving a machine base of approximately 600 PONSSE forest machines.

Ponsse Plc is a company specialising in the sales, manufacture, servicing and technology of cut-to-length method forest machines.
