Oct 12, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. The Crown Timber Group, who acquired the assets of the former Haminan Veitosaha (Havesa) sawmill in the port of Hamina, Finland back in 2013, have set a new benchmark in the volume of loaded timber in a single day, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Investment in the plant has enabled the team to increase production, culminating in a record load of 5,809 cubic metres comprising of planed, graded and kiln dried, packaged to length structural white wood covering the TR26, CLS, C24 Carcassing and Glulam range.

The timber was loaded aboard the Isidor vessel capable of taking 3,950 metric tonnes with a hold capacity of 5,770 cubic metres and bound for Crown Timber’s UK terminals in New Holland and Sheerness.

Crown Timber was founded in 1983 and operates as a specialist just in time distributor of strength graded softwood and engineered wood products to the roof truss and timber frame manufacturing industries, as well as to timber and builders merchants.
