Sonae Indústria’s 1Q turnover increased by 3.6% to Euro 59.5 million

Sonae Indústria’s consolidated turnover for the 1Q 2017 reached Euro 59.5 million, an improvement of 3.6% vs. same period of last year (Euro 2.1 million). When compared to 1Q 2016, the increase is explained by the appreciation of the Canadian dollar vs. the EUR and also by the higher average selling prices y.o.y. of the North American business, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Sonae Indústria consolidated EBITDA for the quarter reached Euro 9.7 million, circa Euro 2.6 million higher than the same period of last year, on a comparable basis, mostly driven by the lower fixed costs that in the quarter reflect one-off adjustments to accruals.

Recurrent EBITDA for the 1Q 2017 reached Euro 9.7 million, an improvement of Euro 2.4 million vs. 1Q 2016 with an underlying Recurrent EBITDA margin of 16.3%, up by 3.6 p.p. vs. 1Q 2016.
