Sep 08, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. Swedish investor Investment AB Kinnevik said that its portfolio company, the cartonboard and paper manufacturer Korsnas AB has decided to invest SEK 640 million ($95 million) in a new evaporation plant.
The new plant is expected to reduce Korsnas' energy costs by some SEK 130 million ($19 million) per year from 2011, M2 Communications reported. The evaporation plant is expected to be ready for start up in the autumn of 2010.
Korsnas has 1,900 employees at mills in Gavle and Frovi in Sweden, and has an annual net turnover of SEK 7.5 billion ($1.1 billion).
