Swedish sawlog prices decreased by 1% in the 2Q 2014 compared to the
prior quarter. Pulpwood prices also decreased by 1% compared to the prior
quarter. Sawlog prices decreased in the Southern Region and in the Northern
Region by 1% and 3%, respectively while the sawlog prices in the Central Region
rose by 2%, as the Swedish Forest Agency said in the press release received by
Lesprom Network.
Pulpwood prices rose by 1% in the Central Region and decreased by 4% in
the Northern Region and in the Southern Region pulpwood prices were unchanged.
When comparing the 2Q 2014 and the same quarter of 2013, sawlog prices
rose by 6% and pulpwood prices decreased by 5%.
