Uniboard invests $3 million in Sayabec melamine plant in Canada

Uniboard is investing $3 million to increase thermally fused melamine capacity and improve efficiency at its Sayabec, Quebec operations, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network. The Company’s Sayabec plant, already one of North America’s most efficient and flexible thermally fused melamine producers, will make major investments to its TFM press #3 production line. Work will begin in the 4Q 2012 with an expected completion of January 2013. Major upgrades will provide increased capacity to supply a wider range of finishes, such as its recently-launched RIO™ and High Gloss finishes to meet the growing demand of its customer base.
