Valmet will deliver a baling line to Metsä Board's pulp mill in Kaskinen, Finland. This is the second baling line Valmet installs at the mill and will be installed in parallel with the existing baling line. The new line will handle the increased capacity at the mill and is scheduled to start up in the end of 2018, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The delivery consists of baling line main machinery including an automation solution to control the line. The existing line and the new line will share existing unitizer, which will gain increased speed. New wire cages will also be added along the existing line.

Metsä Board's Kaskinen mill produces bleached chemi-thermomechanical pulp (BCTMP) for paperboards and paper. Production capacity is 340,000 tons of pulp per year.
