Wood pulp exports from Russia increased by 11.6% in January-September 2015

Nov 13, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. For the first nine months of 2015 total volume of wood pulp exports from Russia increased by 11.6%, to 1.518 million tons year-over-year, as Federal Customs Service of Russia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The volume of Russian exports of newsprint for the reporting period amounted to 818.3 thousand tons, 8% lower than a year earlier.

Exports of wood pulp from Russia increased by 5.3% in value and amounted to $800.8 million; exports of newsprint decreased by 30.5% to $332.4 million.

1.465 million tons of wood pulp (+11.8%) worth $772 million (+5.9%) were shipped to other countries in January- September 2015; to CIS countries – 52.9 thousand tons (-1.5%) worth $28.8 million (-9.7%).

740.4 thousand tons of newsprint (-6.6%) worth $299.4 million (-29.2%) were shipped to other countries in January- September 2015; to CIS countries – 77.9 thousand tons (-19.9%) worth $33 million (-41.1%).
