Mihelcic Legnami is a family-owned company founded in 1948 by Francesco Mihelcic, located in Lavis, Province of Trento, covering an area of 20,000 m². It sources wood from forestry companies that follow sustainable harvesting practices to protect ecological regrowth. The company uses larch, Norway spruce, oak, and Douglas fir of high quality, sourced from forests in Northern Italy and Germany. Since obtaining CE certification, Mihelcic Legnami has specialized since 2010 in the production and sale of wooden floors and roofing, both in solid wood with sharp edges and river-use wood, as well as laminated spruce and larch. The company serves various sectors including construction, industrial and civil roofing, packaging, and garden furniture. To protect the environment, a photovoltaic system fully covers its electricity needs, and wood waste is used to fuel biomass plants for heat and energy production.
