Feb 12, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. Harry E. Gould, Jr., chairman and president of Gould Paper Corporation, New York City, announced the appointment of Mike Trachtenberg as president of Gould’s metro division. In his new capacity as president, metro, Mike will be responsible for sales & marketing and operations for the New York metro market. In addition, Mike will also be responsible for the Heller & Usdan sales operation, which was acquired in September 2004, and the Siclare converting operation, which was established in early 2004.
The Gould metro division has extensive operations throughout New York and New Jersey, with sales offices in New York City and Cherry Hill, New Jersey and a sales/warehouse operation in Edison, New Jersey. The Siclare converting operation is located in East Brunswick, New Jersey.
Bob Weill, president, Gould distribution stated, “We are pleased to have Mike back at Gould after an absence of eight years. Mike brings to this position over 20 years’ industry experience. Mike’s career includes positions at Lindenmeyr, Gould and Central Lewmar. Mike returns to Gould from Central Lewmar, where he was group president of Central Lewmar’s metro division. As president of Gould’s metro division, Mike’s focus will be on improving the Gould position in the greater New York metropolitan market.”
Mr. Gould stated, “We are fortunate to have someone of Mike’s experience and abilities join the Gould team at this point in time when the industry structure and dynamics are changing on an almost daily basis. Mike joined Gould in early February 2007 and will be focusing on sales & marketing. In his new position, Mike will report to Bob Weill, president, Gould distribution.”
