Ilim Timber has successfully completed a regular audit of the supply chain and controlled wood FSC, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The audit was conducted by GFA Certification GmbH (independent auditor, Germany) in the company's branches in Bratsk, Ust-Ilimsk, Russia, and in the central office in St. Petersburg. FSC certification confirms Ilim Timber compliance with all international standards.
Oleg Kosolapov, Managing Director for Business, said: “The next audit and the new FSC certificate confirm that the products fully meet the expectations of our consumers in the European market, and the Ilim Timber follows the modern international requirements for the use of forest resources.”
Ilim Timber is one of the world's top sawn timber producers. The company's production facilities are located in Eastern Siberia as well as in the northern and southern regions of Germany.
