Andersen Corporation has announced its acquisition of Bright Wood Corporation, the largest independent U.S. manufacturer of window and patio door components. The family-owned Bright Wood, with more than 1,000 employees across 28 processing plants, will continue its operations under local leadership following the transaction.
Pat Meyer, a veteran of the window and door industry, will serve as acting CEO of Bright Wood, supported by its existing leadership team. Andersen stated it will not be involved in day-to-day operations, limiting its role to board-level governance.
The acquisition aims to secure Bright Wood's long-term role as a key supplier to the broader fenestration industry.
