Massimo Potenza resigns as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Biesse S.p.A. following a 22% decline in consolidated net revenues in the first quarter of 2025. The company’s Board of Directors has appointed Chairman Roberto Selci as the new CEO with the same executive powers previously held by Potenza, according to Biesse S.p.A.

Q1 2025 consolidated net revenues totaled Euro 153 million, down from Euro 196 million in Q1 2024. EBITDA Adjusted dropped to Euro 4.4 million, representing 2.9% of revenues, compared to 8.6% a year earlier. EBIT Adjusted declined to Euro -4.7 million, equal to -3.0% of revenues, reversing from a positive 3.9% in Q1 2024.

Biesse cited continued macroeconomic instability and market uncertainty as key factors behind the earnings drop, noting that these issues have impacted results since 2024.

In response, the Board of Directors has withdrawn the Three Years Plan 2024–2026, originally announced on 28 February 2024, stating that its financial and earnings targets are no longer considered achievable. The company plans to adopt a new business plan when market conditions stabilize.

Biesse is a global manufacturer of integrated lines, machines, and components for processing wood, glass, stone, plastics, and composites.
