Chile’s exports of lumber decreased 10% year-on-year in 2025, totaling 2.38 million m3. Export value declined 13% to $750 million, while the average export price fell 3% to $315 per m3, according to Lesprom Analytics.

South Korea remained the largest buyer, accounting for 15.6% of Chile’s total lumber exports with 371 thousand m3. Export value to South Korea reached $79 million, at an average price of $213 per m3. The United States followed with a 15.5% share and 370 thousand m3. Export value totaled $244 million, with an average price of $659 per m3.

Mexico ranked third with a 10.4% share, importing 249 thousand m3 valued at $76 million. The average price for Mexico was $305 per m3. China held a 9.3% share with 220 thousand m3 worth $52 million, at an average price of $236 per m3.

Peru increased its imports by 39% to 158 thousand m3, totaling $44 million, with an average price of $278 per m3. Japan’s imports decreased 36% to 130 thousand m3, valued at $30 million. The average price to Japan was $231 per m3.
