Comact has completed its acquisition of Oleson Saw Technology, a manufacturer of wide bandsaw blades for sawmills based in York, Pennsylvania. The deal adds wide bandsaw blade manufacturing to Comact’s cutting and saw technology offering and expands its aftermarket and consumables portfolio for the wood processing industry, according to Comact.
Oleson will continue operating from its existing York facility. Comact said the arrangement will maintain continuity for customers and employees.
The acquisition also includes continued distribution of Swiss-made ISELI filing room equipment for bandsaws and circular saws. Comact said Oleson’s blade manufacturing business and filing room equipment offering will extend its coverage in sawmill cutting systems.
As part of the transition, Oleson Saw Technology will adopt a visual identity aligned with Comact’s branding. The company also plans to launch a new website in the coming days.
