Sweden is Komatsu Forest's domestic market
with a long history and well-established development, production, and
distribution facilities. Even before Japanese conglomerate Komatsu Ltd's 2004
acquisition of the company, its development center, production plant, and
headquarters were located in Umea, Sweden. Since 2009, the
Swedish sales company (Komatsu Forest Sweden HB) has also been headquartered in
Umea. As a natural development,
these two entities are now being merged into a single company, Komatsu Forest AB, as the company
said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
The creation of a single company encompassing all available resources
will further optimize sales, machine and spare part distribution, customer
support, product development, and production.
The ability to coordinate work at all stages of the chain will bring us
closer to our customers and make customer requirements clear to all personnel.
The new organization becomes official as of July 1, 2013.
