Metsä Board has completed the acquisition of the Winschoten Sheeting and Distribution Hub from Konvertia Group, according to Metsä Board Corporation. The signing of the agreement was announced on 23 January 2026.
The Winschoten facility is one of Europe’s largest and most advanced sheeting and distribution hubs, with an annual capacity of approximately 100,000 tonnes and 22 employees. The companies have agreed not to disclose the transaction price.
Following the acquisition, Metsä Board will integrate the Winschoten Hub into its European operations, aligning production, logistics, and customer service processes. The integration supports the company’s objective of improving service speed and supply reliability in its key growth market in Europe.
