Neenah Paper expands fine and technical paper product lines
Jul 20, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Neenah Paper announced that it has expanded its fine and technical paper product lines to include new UV/ULTRA(R) Web+Plus(TM) colored and transparent translucent papers in its fine paper business and new KIMDURA(R) synthetic papers for labels and tags. The new translucent Web+Plus(TM) papers will be manufactured for Neenah Paper by Sihl Paper, a well-known global manufacturer of specialty papers based in Switzerland, and will provide Neenah Paper customers a broader range of printing applications for these types of papers. The new lines of KIMDURA(R) technical papers will expand Neenah Paper's portfolio of synthetic papers and were the result of a joint development project utilizing technical expertise of both Neenah Paper and a third party multinational.
"These new products are examples of how we expect to grow our business by working with others. In these cases, we were able to add high quality products that complement our existing portfolio and can benefit from our market expertise, but which did not easily fit our manufacturing capabilities. We will continue to pursue opportunities like these that support our growth plans and can provide reasonable returns with a limited investment in assets," said Sean Erwin, Chief Executive Officer of Neenah Paper.
Neenah Paper manufactures and distributes a wide range of premium and specialty paper grades, with well-known brands such as CLASSIC(R), ENVIRONMENT(R), UV/ULTRA(R), KIMDURA(R) and MUNISING LP(R). The company also produces and sells bleached pulp, primarily for use in the manufacture of tissue and writing papers. Neenah Paper is based in Alpharetta, Georgia, and has manufacturing operations in Wisconsin, Michigan and in the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Nova Scotia.
