Pölkky Oy’s Board has decided to revise the ongoing Kajaani sawmill investment project in Finland. The aim is to optimize the mill concept and secure long-term profitability of the unit.
Pölkky is re-building sawmill located in Kajaani. The project includes saw infeed, debarker, sawline, residual handling, dryers and dry sorting. The green sorting line is already installed and in ramp-up phase. After the investment program the sawmill capacity will reach 450,000 m3/year.
Pölkky Oy is the largest wood processing company in Northern Finland.
