Peninsula Plywood, an investment group planning to reopen a dormant plywood mill in Port Angeles, Wash., has been granted a lease concession by the Port of Port Angeles that could speed up efforts to restart the mill, according to the Peninsula Daily News. Once the lease takes effect, the company will be required to hire 60 people in 90 days. The company will have 45 days to begin equipment repairs at the port-owned mill site formerly known as K-Ply.
