Michele Bianchi, Chief Executive Officer of RDM Group, has been appointed President of Fibre Packaging Europe (FPE), the coalition uniting seven European trade associations across the fibre-based packaging value chain. He will lead the organization during a critical period for the industry, focusing on regulatory advocacy and Single Market cohesion, as RDM Group announces.
Fibre Packaging Europe represents approximately 1,500 companies operating across 2,200 manufacturing sites, employing 365,000 people and generating more than Euro 120 billion in annual turnover. The coalition plays a central role in engaging with European institutions on regulatory frameworks that support innovation, investment and the circular economy transition. The group recently issued the "One Europe, One Market" statement advocating for uniform rules to strengthen competitiveness across the sector.
Bianchi assumes the presidency as the European Commission prepares to present a roadmap on the Single Market to EU leaders. In his new role, he will champion policies that reinforce European industry and embed competitiveness considerations across EU initiatives. Bianchi continues to serve as CEO of RDM Group alongside his new leadership position at Fibre Packaging Europe.
