RemaSawco and Södra have agreed to upgrade Södra's four sawmills Kinda, Långasjö, Mönsterås and Orrefors in Sweden. The upgrades differ between the four sawmills but affect both log sorting, saw line and board handling.

The log sorting solution is provided, among other things, with the measuring frame RS-LogScanner3D with associated system RS-715. For the saw line, the measuring frame RS-3DLog is delivered together with the optimization system RS-Opt. The various process steps for board handling are equipped with the board sorting system RS-ProSort.

Delivery, installation and commissioning will take place gradually during 2024.

"RemaSawco is very pleased that our customers make decisions to upgrade and invest in our latest and most modern systems. After the completed upgrade, we will be able to guarantee the Södra Group a completely different level of operational reliability, and above all comprehensive maintenance reliability, for many years to come. The upgrade also creates opportunities, on a completely new level, to adapt their production to any new requirements or market needs,” says Emilien Saindon, CEO RemaSawco.
