Sappi Europe will implement an additional price increase on its graphic paper products for deliveries from 15 April 2026, following a prior increase effective 16 March 2026. The company announced the move as necessary to restore profitability after a prolonged period of unsustainably low margins in its graphic paper business.
The new pricing structure adds Euro 50 per ton on all woodfree products and Euro 40 per ton on mechanical coated reels. Sappi cited the evolving situation in the Middle East as a factor driving cost volatility across global supply chains, noting that further measures, including potential temporary surcharges, may follow if cost developments escalate.
Sappi stated it reserves the option to review prices further should market conditions materially change.
