Silvatec and Onezhsky tractor plant will produce wheeled tractors together in 2006

In 2006, Onezhsky tractor plant, Karelia Republic, Russia, and Silvatec, Denmark, intend to found wheeled tractor production, CEO of Onezhsky tractor plant Michael Kolesnikov informed. Tractors will be assembled on Onezhsky tractor plant from foreign component parts that in future will be replaced with domestic ones. Kolesnikov said that cooperation of the companies is reasonable because both belong to Russian tractor producing concern named Traktornye Zavody. In April 2006, the concern bought 80% shares of Silvatec, Danish logging equipment producer, through its daughter enterprise Agromash B. V. by DDH, Denmark. Amount of the deal made up Euro 10 million. Silvatec is the only one logging machinery and equipment producer in Denmark.
