The total value of roundwood purchased from Slovenian private forests decreased by 7% in August compared to the previous month, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia. This decline occurred despite a 13% drop in the value of purchased pulpwood, the only main category to see a decrease.
Month-on-month, the total purchased volume increased across all main categories. The most significant gain was in fuelwood, which saw a 62% increase in volume and a 58% rise in value. Year-on-year data for September shows a different trend, with the total purchase value increasing by 35% compared to September of the previous year.
