SupplyOne has acquired Specialty Packaging, a packaging solutions distributor based in East Hartford, Connecticut, strengthening the company's presence in the New England market. The transaction adds food packaging capabilities including films, trays, bags and corrugated containers, along with Specialty Packaging's proprietary SteamRight microwavable packaging solution for frozen food products, according to SupplyOne.
Founded in 2012 by Chris Orsini and Keith Streib, the business will continue to be led by its founders following the closing. Specialty Packaging also provides protective packaging, equipment and service, design, warehousing and logistics to its customer base.
The deal marks SupplyOne's 47th acquisition, further expanding the company's geographic footprint across North America.
SupplyOne is a value-added packaging distributor with custom corrugated, foam, wood and plastics converting capabilities.
