Tolko Industries’ Kelowna operation to take downtime

Tolko Industries announced its Kelowna operation in Canada, would take downtime from August 6 to September 15, 2019.

“The high cost of logs and weak market conditions are still impacting our operating footprint in British Columbia,” says Vice President of Solid Wood, Troy Connolly. “Although we prefer to keep our locations in constant operation, we must manage the business responsibly and ensure we are sustainable for the future.”

Tolko is a leading North American manufacturer of a wide range of forest products for customers around the world, including lumber, plywood, veneer, oriented strand board, co-products, biomass power and a growing number of specialty wood products.
