Oct 21, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. Voith Paper acquired PremiAir Technology Inc., Montreal, Canada on October 1st, 2008, company announced. PremiAir who is active in the area of air systems for the pulp, paper and tissue industry is well known for its extensive know-how and high level of technology in engineering, designing, manufacturing, and servicing of Yankee drying hood systems.
PremiAir started its business 23 years ago. Today PremiAir has 20 employees and generate around 5 million can. dollar sales (Euro 3.1 million). The Yankee drying hood systems has a very good reputation. Their Yankee hood “The Ultra” sets standards when it comes to high temperature hoods. Several hood references operating at temperatures up to 650°C (1200°F) are established, offering the potential to increase productivity (for rebuilds) as well as improved tissue quality compared to standard hoods. Dust and mist removal systems, heat recovery systems, and all services to assess and improve existing installations are part of the product and service portfolio.
PremiAir will be embedded in Voith Paper’s Air Systems Group with locations in Bayreuth, Monchengladbach (both in Germany) and Montreal, Canada. By this acquisition Voith Paper Air Systems completed its portfolio with regard to products and services in all areas of air systems for the pulp, paper, and tissue industry: e.g. Evaporation hoods for all kinds of paper machines, Yankee drying hood systems, process air and heat recovery systems, machine hall ventilation systems, air conditioning systems, steam and condensate systems, dust and mist removal systems, and special customized air treatment systems as well as systems for non contact drying and non contact web guiding systems including hot air drying and IR systems or air turns.
