Sean McLaren, President and CEO of West Fraser, has been elected as the new Chair of the American Wood Council (AWC) Board for a two-year term. The council, which represents 88% of the U.S. structural wood products industry, also elected Derek Ratchford of SmartLam as First Vice Chair and Ashlee Cribb of PotlatchDeltic as Second Vice Chair. The appointments were confirmed by the American Wood Council and will be effective from 1 January 2026.
The announcement also included three new members elected to the board: Will Lampe of Lampe and Malphrus Lumber, Craig Sichling of LP Building Solutions, and Charles McRae of Rex Lumber.
