The delivery consists of Valmet IQ Warp Measurement, Valmet IQ Moisturizer with three spray booms, Valmet IQ Multipoint Moisture, and Microwave moisture measurement, integrated with automatic closed-loop controls.
The new mill is estimated to start-up in the second half of 2027. The pulp mill will be built in Inocência, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil.
In this position Olli Hänninen will report to the President and CEO Thomas Hinnerskov and is a member of Valmet’s Executive Team.
The new line will increase the company’s ability to manufacture lightweight coated board and high-quality pulp.
The winder rebuild will include a mother reel and empty spool handling solution, a new slitting section with automatic trim positioning, edge trim cutting, and installation services.
According to company’s preliminary view, the potential measures include temporary and permanent layoffs, retirements, and internal work arrangements within Valmet. The estimated number of permanent employee reductions is approximately 200 positions.
Besides the new center in Beihai, Valmet has three other service centers in China – in Wuxi, Guangzhou, and Zibo.
The exclusivity agreement is valid for four years, with termination options based on project progress.
The wire tyers will be delivered in the Q2 2025 and installed on the baling lines C3 and C5 during the mill’s annual maintenance shutdown.
The new equipment is estimated to be taken into operation by the end of 2026.
Demuth operates two manufacturing facilities in southern Brazil in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The net sales of Demuth are around Euro 20–30 million annually, and the company employs around 400 people.
After the closing of the agreement, Valmet holds the majority of the shares and FactoryPal will continue operating as an own legal entity under existing brand.
The new tissue line will have a design speed of 2,200 m/min, a width of 5.6 meters, and an annual production capacity of 70,000 tons. It is optimized to save energy and deliver excellent paper properties.
The start-up of the winder is scheduled for 2025. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
Valmet receives order for IQ quality control system for corrugator from Thai Containers Group in Thailand.
One order includes a complete papermaking line from stock preparation to reel and winders, a comprehensive automation solution package as well as spare parts and consumables packages. The other order includes a paper machine rebuild with automation and services.
The tissue machine will have a paper width on reel of 2,850 mm, a maximum operating speed of 6,560 ft/min (2000 m/min), and a yearly capacity of 35,000 tons of high-quality tissue grades dedicated for bath, towel, facial and napkin products.
The delivery comprises of two Valmet Perini Constellation tissue converting lines and the packaging machinery needed for the production of rolled tissue. The machinery represents latest technology for efficiency, flexibility, and low energy consumption.
