ÅF wins new pulp project in Europe - Rosenthal 400

Nov 02, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. ÅF has, via its units in Sweden and Germany, been entrusted by Rosenthal GmbH & Co KG (ZPR) with responsibility for the role of principal consultant for the project engineering and project management of the Rosenthal 400 project. The decisive factors behind the choice of ÅF have been the track record of success for the cooperation between ÅF in Germany and ZPR, and the expertise that the ÅF Group's Swedish organisation is able to provide in the area of chemical pulp processes. ZPR is one of the most modern sulphate pulp mills in Europe, and the project aims to increase production capacity from 310 000 to 400 000 tonnes a year. ÅF's assignment is divided into two phases: phase 1 lasts until February 2008 and the completion of contracts with the suppliers of the machinery, after which phase 2 begins following Mercer International Inc's board meeting in February 2008 and continues until the end of 2009. ÅF is today one of the world's leading consultants to the pulp and paper industry.
