84 Lumber announces the opening of its new component plant in Winter Haven, Florida. This is the company’s primary component plant in the state of Florida. The plant will officially open its doors for operation by the end of January 2024.

As the company continues its expansion across the country, component plants are top of mind. Florida has historically been a strong market for 84 Lumber and the component element will remain a priority moving forward. This location will not only generate new business but will also offer customers increased service options.

The 80,000-square-foot facility features new, state-of-the-art roof and floor truss building equipment and will employ a staff of more than 80 associates. The plant will cover the central Florida market, including Tampa and Orlando, as well as the surrounding areas.

In addition to this new truss plant, 84 Lumber recently opened truss plants near Atlanta, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina; a new door shop in Denver, Colorado; and opening new stores in the state of California.

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, 84 Lumber Co. is the nation’s largest privately held supplier of building materials, manufactured components and industry-leading services for single and multifamily residences and commercial buildings.
