Alfred Wall AG sells Masterpack Crimmitschau GmbH to Mugler-Druck

Alfred Wall AG, part of the Consumer Packaging Group of MeadWestvaco Corporation of Stamford, Connecticut, USA, announced the sale of Masterpack Crimmitschau GmbH, one of its wholly owned subsidiaries, to Mugler-Druck. The sale was concluded on September 9, 2004, with an effective date of July 31, 2004. The amount was not disclosed. Masterpack specializes in the production of folding cartons for food and general packaging markets. The company employs approximately 85 people. This sale will enable Alfred Wall AG to focus on its core business of providing packaging for the tobacco, consumer products, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and confectionery markets. Wall operates at facilities in Austria, Germany, Poland, Russia and the Czech Republic. Mugler-Druck, located in Hohenstein Ernstthal, Germany is a fourth generation family owned company with sales of €12 million. It employs approximately 100 people and is a specialist packaging company, providing services to the food and other fast-moving-consumer-goods (fmcg) industries, including promotional displays for the advertising sector. Alfred Wall AG is part of the Consumer Packaging Group of MeadWestvaco which specializes in tobacco, consumer and personal care, cosmetics, media, pharmaceutical and confectionery packaging.
