Canadian lumber production increased 13.9% from July 2022 to 4 262.4 thousand cubic metres in August 2022. Production was down 4.5% from August 2021, according to Statistics Canada.
Sawmills shipped 4 467.0 thousand cubic metres of lumber in August, up 4.0% from July 2022 and up 1.0% from August 2021.
