Conner Industries to open new manufacturing facility in Montgomery, Alabama

Conner Industries, Inc. will open a new manufacturing facility in Montgomery, Alabama on November 1, 2019, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The expansion into the Alabama market marks the third new facility added to Conner’s manufacturing network in the last nine months, including the new plant opened in Clarksville, Tennessee in March 2019, and the acquisition of RoseMill Packaging in July 2019, which enabled expansion into a broader range of packaging services utilizing wood, corrugate, plastic, and foam.

The new 87,000 square foot manufacturing plant will be one of the largest full-service facilities operated by Conner, and it is expected to integrate many of the new packaging capabilities gained by the RoseMill acquisition.  The facility will be comprised of both indoor and outdoor areas designated for product storage, a large assembly area, state-of-the-art equipment, loading dock, and will have easy access to the I-65 Corridor.  Conner expects to employ over 100 people at the Montgomery plant within the next year, and is planning a two-day Job Fair in mid-October to begin manning the facility.

Conner continues to execute its strategic plan of expanding more deeply into the industrial packaging industry, while enjoying accelerated growth in its core lumber business, leveraging its existing manufacturing facilities, and entering new geographic markets and industries not currently serviced today.

Following the opening of the Montgomery, Alabama facility, Conner will have 13 plants in ten states, with about 800,000 square feet of manufacturing space and employing more than 850 employees.

Conner Industries, Inc. is a leading provider of lumber, industrial wood crates & pallets, and packaging solutions.
