Ilham Smaali has been appointed Chief Supply Chain Officer at the hygiene and health company Essity and will join its Executive Management Team. She will take up the new role on 31 December 2025.
Supply Chain Enablement is a newly established function tasked with ensuring economies of scale in sourcing and fulfillment. It will also support functional transformation and standardized working methods for the decentralized production and supply chain.
Smaali, who holds dual French and Moroccan citizenship, joined Essity in 2023 and most recently served as Vice President of Global Planning & Logistics. She brings previous senior experience from Estée Lauder, Nike and Procter & Gamble. She holds a Master of Science in Engineering from France's ENSICAEN National Graduate School of Engineering.
