In 2006 Volga pulp-and-paper mill accounted for 27% of newsprint production in Russia

In 2006 Volga PPM has supplied to the domestic market 216 013 tonnes of newsprint worth RUR 3.3 billion, up 15.4% year-on-year. Newsprint export totalled 320 674 tonnes worth RUR 4.0 billion, up 3.5% compared to the previous year. According to the report, in 2006 Russian pulp-and-paper mills produced 1.99 million tonnes of newsprint. Share of Volga PPM in total volume was 27% in 2006.
