Oct 08, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. In July 2010, export of Russian softwood sawn timber grew by 11% compared tp 2009 levels. Export prices increased by 4% compared to the previous year, Lesprom Network's analytic service reported. Compared to June 2010, export volume fell by 8% down to minimum peak in last four months. Meanwhile, export prices grew by 3% compared to June. Major importers of Russian softwood sawn timber are Asia-Pacific region countries, Europe, CIS, and Middle East & North Africa. The two largest importers increased their shares, China from 25% to 29%, Egypt from 11% to 12%. Three major suppliers of softwood sawn timber from Russia were Lesosibirsk mill (Krasnoyarsk region), Novoenisseiskiy mill (Krasnoyarsk region) and Ust-Ilimsk mill (Irkutsk region).
