James Latham temporary closes some depots due coronavirus

James Latham hasalready begun implementing a phased process of temporary closures across its depots with the announcement of the closure of its Scotland depot on 25th March.

This process will continue with the temporary closure of Abbey Woods, Dresser Mouldings, Gateshead and Dudley on 1st April. Further temporary closures could follow and this is kept under constant review.

“We still have demand from customers supporting the NHS, and also manufacturing customers who are being asked to use their capabilities to produce items to support essential services, but demand from our traditional customers has very significantly reduced. Throughout this period we will focus all our efforts on supporting essential services and within government guidelines to industry which are continually being updated,” the company said in a press release.

James Latham is one of the UK’s largest independent distributors of timber, panels and decorative surfaces.
