Kastamonu to invest in particleboard production in Tatarstan, Russia

Kastamonu, the leading manufacturer of the Russian wood processing industry, has unveiled the plans to open a particleboard production in Tatarstan, Russia. The opening of the particleboard line will bring the company’s total investment in the region to $1 billion.

The Kastamonu plant was opened on the territory of the Alabuga SEZ in Tatarstan in 2014. The company produces laminate from 31 to 34 wear resistance classes and various types of MDF boards, including moisture-resistant and fire-resistant ones. Laminate floorings are supplied to 27 countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
