Kemira, a
global chemicals company, announces price increases for all coagulant products
in the EMEA region across all segments. The price increases will become
effective as of November 1st, 2018.
Price increases are necessary due to significant cost increases from several sides:
all freight rates have considerably increased in 2018 and are expected to
continue to rise.
Raw materials especially for aluminum-based coagulants pose an unusual challenge as the tight supply situation is globally driving cost up to unprecedented levels. Shortage of raw materials for iron-based coagulants also continue pushing cost further up.
