The Madison's Lumber Prices Index registered $523 per thousand board feet for the week ending 10 April 2026, reflecting a marginal weekly increase of $1. The index has climbed $22, or 4%, from its level one month ago when it stood at $501.
The index construction uses the same species composition as lumber futures, including Western Spruce-Pine-Fir, Eastern Spruce-Pine-Fir, Douglas fir and Hem-Fir, with weighted averages applied based on North American production volume ratios from recent years.
