The Madison's Lumber Prices Index registered US$524per thousand board feet for the week ending 24 April 2026. The figure represents no change from the previous week′s reading of US$523, a difference of just US$1, according to Madison's Lumber Reporter.
The index has increased 1% from one month ago, when the benchmark stood at US$518. This reflects again of US$6 over the four-week period.

The index is constructed using a weighted average of Western Spruce-Pine-Fir, Eastern Spruce-Pine-Fir, Douglas fir and Hem-Fir species, with weights based on North American production volume ratios from recent years.
