Metrie has acquired door fabrication, hanging, and finishing assets in Eastern Canada from Northstar/TruBilt Doors, a division of Cornerstone Building Brands, while simultaneously expanding its door manufacturing capabilities through additional asset purchases in Western Canada. The acquisitions position the company as an industry leader across North America in interior and exterior door distribution and advanced value-add services, according to Metrie.
The newly acquired capabilities allow Metrie to supply specialty door systems including pre-hanging, pre-finishing, job-site delivery, and custom solutions for complex specifications. The company now offers full custom capability across CNC cutting, pre-finishing, jamb preparation, and sill fabrication and assembly, according to Ashik Bhat, Regional Vice-President of Metrie Canada.
The acquisition builds on Metrie's 60 years of door experience in the Canadian market and follows recent purchases of the BWI, Florida Made Door, and Louisiana Millwork door distribution businesses from Owens Corning in the Eastern and Southern United States.
Metrie is North America's largest manufacturer and distributor of millwork solutions, including composite and solid wood mouldings and finished grade lumber.
